Eileen Mayo produced a number of books, which we referenced for design and style. The endpapers were reproduced from an early book by Mayo. The paper cover and quarter-binding reference classic old-school book publishing.

Judges’ comments A quietly elegant ode to Eileen Mayo’s art. All the design decisions made are well considered and aptly suited to the content and period (1930s) including the muted colour palette, buckram binding, gold foil, format, typography. The design allows the artwork to be the hero.
