PANZ Book Design Awards Ceremony
Tickets are now on sale for the 2026 PANZ Book Design Award ceremony, which will be held in Auckland on 24th September from 6pm.
Please join us for a glass of wine and nibbles followed by the awards ceremony itself. This year we are at a brand new venue, The Quarterdeck at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron. With plenty of free parking and stunning harbour views it’s a cracking spot to celebrate the best in New Zealand book design.
But it isn’t all socialising as there is also work to do judging your personal favourite book design in the Keely O’Shannessy People’s Choice Award. The award is this year named in honour of talented book designer and friend of many in book publishing who passed away in June of this year.

The annual PANZ Book Design Workshop provides a full and stimulating programme of design and provides insights on the stand-out books published in New Zealand today. Included in the morning’s sessions will be an invitation to join the judges for a post-awards dissection and discussion, including a full and frank analysis of the winning entries.
