Judges’ Comments: Instantly the speckled edge of pages through to the halftone abstract image section breaks makes one inquisitive. The gravitas of the writing is treated in a contemporary and clean typographic style. One is reminded of the context of newsprint, providing just the right points of reference without any overstatement. Serious journalism met with serious design.
