Judges’ Comments: Elegant watercolour technique providing ‘soft’ and interesting texture, set against unapologetically large title seems an appropriate choice. The continuation of the illustration around front spine and back cover is well considered. The type on the spine aligning to the cover setting, the bathing suit and isolated character on the beach do suggest 1950s when Ibiza was as yet undiscovered as a mecca for tourists. Crisp type against soft water colour a great combination for shelf presence and mood setting of the book.
