Typography: Main text: Beo Sans 20/28pt. This font was chosen for its light contemporary feel that compliments the illustrations, and the irregular edge adds a gentleness to the sans serif font.
Title: hand lettered by Sarah Wilkins to tie-in with the artwork and also add to the individuality of the book.

Judges’ Comments: The strength of the illustrations harking back to European/French 1950s/60s visual language and uncomplicated domestic narrative allow the designer to step back. Sensitive choices of endpaper colour stock and text block stock warm white tie this whole thing together.
