For the interior, the brief was for it to be practical, engaging and intuitive – balancing beautiful and thoughtful design with everyday usability. Hand-drawn illustrations also were part of the brief – to create warmth and give the book a unique visual identity throughout the introduction and on each recipe page.”

“This book successfully delivers on its brief through a cohesive and highly considered visual language. The cover’s naïve, crayon-like illustration style establishes an approachable, family-oriented tone, while the bold yellow and red palette creates strong shelf presence and reinforces food industry cues. Internally, the restrained layout system and clean typography support the easy-cooking concept without sacrificing personality. A clear information hierarchy, intuitive iconography and consistent compositions make the recipes highly accessible, resulting in a design that is engaging, functional and confident.”
