Publisher’s Brief
“The publisher’s brief was to inform, educate and inspire children and their families to fall in love with our native bees, ngaro huruhuru. A book that children could enjoy dipping in and out of or read as a whole. I wanted to create a bright and tactile book that was visually appealing as well as informative, and there were multiple elements to take into consideration including photographs, illustrations, bee fact boxes and QR codes linking to short videos of native bees, allowing children to identify native bees from other bees, along with the main body text.”
