Judges’ comments These activities are, like the design of this book, simple and soothing with a cover that will appeal en masse each year that Matariki comes around. The palette is left untouched for the tamariki to stamp their own creativity on the page. There’s a strong underlying system that manages the content, so it feels orderly, but never stale. The typeface choices too are a nice balance of legible, accessible, and interesting.
