“Slender Volumes is the first book produced by Spoor Books, a new independent publisher. As the inaugural title, it may not be immediately apparent that the publication follows a structured template that will be used for all future titles. While certain design elements will adapt for each book — such as the cover image and spine colour — the typography and page construction will remain consistent, creating a sense of unity across their collection. Not all forthcoming books will be poetry, so the design needed to be flexible enough to accommodate multiple genres, while expressing the core values of the publisher.”
