Judges’ Comments How do you make statistics interesting? Statistical inference has done two things well: the cover is warm and uplifting but also illustrative of the topic (dogs, likes all sets, can be classed and counted); and the main text is generous and open, creating an invitation to learn. The subject may be challenging but the design does its best to not ‘get in the way’ of the content – a design humility not often displayed!
